We've been here several times and the food and drinks do not disappoint. Their menu is affordable, the sushi is delicious, and their staff is always friendly. Great service every time, especially when sitting at the bar. Favorites are the volcano roll and tiger roll... SO GOOD!!

We will definitely return, very good sushi. Service was prompt and friendly and atmosphere as what you'd expect for a nicer sushi restaurant. Red and black modern decor with a bar against one wall. My dining date was craving saki and "rolls with a lot of stuff on them"... This place definitely delivered. My favorites were the Summer Fresh appetizer (their take on Thai rice paper summer roll) and we both really liked the Ring of Fire with the crunchy tempura shrimp, salmon and a touch of spicy mayo. It was exactly what he wanted. Prices werent bad either. For 2 drinks, seaweed salads, Summer Fresh appetizer and 3 specialty rolls, the bill was $80 (yes, we were hungry). I knock off few points because the bathrooms left much to be desired. Super hot in there, no soap and it looked like a Walmart bathroom... Big contract to the rest of the place. But we will def return next time we're craving sushi.

Have been going to their location in Tampa (SoHo Sushi) for years and they are great. Probably the best sushi in the area. Now on both sides of the bay!

Well, after seeing all the hype on social media about this place my wife and I decided to try it out this past Sunday night. We got here fairly early around 6-ish, yes this is in downtown St. Pete so parking is a pain in the butt and we ended up parking about two blocks away, not a big deal though. We were greeted and seated right away since the place was somewhat empty, but before sitting down the hostess had to do a re-wipe of our table since someone forgot to clean up the soy sauce off the window sill and table. Menus came out right away and out male waiter was very courteous and took our drink orders immediately. Upon the waiter returning with our drink orders we put in our order for our sushi selections and appertizer and then dinner orders expecting them to come out accordingly. Well, to our suprise the food came out ass backwards! We did get our miso soup and my wife got her ginger dressing salad first, but shortly after our dinner selcetions came out before our sushi. I questioned the waitress who seemed to have taken over table somewhere along the line why we had not received our sushi first which had been ordered a half hour earlier. Her response was that they only had two sushi chefs in the back and that they were very busy, excuse me but this place was not even half full and two sushi chefs could not keep up with the minimal crowd?.....Not a good first impression on my part. Now about the food. Yes, the sushi when it finally came out was very fresh and prepared well with not only eye appeal, but flavor. The miso soup was very good, as was my wifes ginger dressing on the salad. I ended up ordering the daily special which was a marinated beef cut into strips. It was OK, I myself make a heck of a lot better teriyaki or marinated beef at home, so I was not impressed. My wife ordered their house fried rice, again dissapointing to say the least. Rice was bland, althought the shrimp was fresh and generous, but overall this dish lacked flavor. It could have used a touch of fish sauce and who puts corn in their fried rice? Being Asian and having been raised in Hawaii, I know my fried rice. Personally I make a much better authentic fried rice than any place here in the Tampa Bay area hands down. So, as for my rating on the food, it should be a two stars, the sushi could squeek out a four star rating, just wish it would have come out quicker and before our dinners did. On another note, as one writer put it, they only give you chopsticks which is ok with me providing you trim your food up to be eaten with chopsticks. My marinated beef was large pieces which I don't want to try and stuff a whole piece in my mouth at one time nor do I want to bite the pieces off while trying to eat them, same goes for the broccoli which is in abundance on every dish, they need to be cut smaller guys. So I had to ask for a knife and fork to get the job done. In closing I would say that this place is still going thru growing pains. Service was mediocre, decor is nice and clean but the place is loud where you can listen in to several conversations without trying too, main dishes are ok, but not worth the money they charge, the sushi was very good, and their wine selection decent but overpriced for their pours. Overall with our entree's, sushi and appertizers and two glasses of wine, we ended up spending close to $100 bucks. Honestly I hope this place makes it, but until they works out the kinks, I won't be back anytime soon.

This is actually the first review I've ever written, but when I found out that this place only opened about 6 weeks ago I wanted to let people know how awesome it is. Not only was the sushi delicious, but the staff was incredibly hospitable and the service was quick. What an excellent experience!!!

This place is just OK. It's a clean facility, and there was good service, but I didn't think the sushi was that great. I came with my husband for lunch on a Monday. We ordered some kind of lunch deal where you get two rolls and a miso soup for ... I don't remember the price. Probably about 10 dollars? Maybe 12? Anyway, we ordered more basic rolls, but again, it was middle of the road sushi. Not bad, but not awesome. Spicy tuna is my favorite thing to get and I would rate the spicy tuna here maybe at a 6. So in conclusion, not bad, but not great.

Very good sushi and fair prices. Excellent happy hour. Pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable wait staff. Dated decor; needs newer, more comfortable booths.

I went there on a First Friday for the first time around 6:00pm. Considering there was a pretty big crowd next door, inside was not that busy. It did start to pick up an hour later and I noticed the wait staff stepping up their game with the service. Our waiter did manage to check on us quite a few times and made sure that we were okay. We ordered the Pick Two Rolls for $9.99. We had the spicy crunchy tuna, Inc roll, salmon avocado and the Cajun rolls. The quality of the fish was fresh and the combinations were good. It's not bad for a sushi place in downtown, yet it's not of San Francisco quality. We each ordered a soup and salad. The soup was good and not overpowering. The salad was presented in a wooden bowl that you'd see at PJ's, which didn't quite make sense to me, theme wise. The salad itself was okay and the dressing was not killed in ginger. It had a light taste, versus a more sharp taste found elsewhere. For an appetizer, we ordered the chicken katsu, which was actually very good. I enjoyed the breading, which was similar to one I had in San Francisco. The accompanying sauce wasn't too strong, either. My only qualm was that it came out at the end of our meal. Our waiter apologized and said that the sushi tends to be faster than what comes out of the kitchen. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the meal. Atmosphere wise, it was very upbeat and casual. The table we sat at was in the middle of the bar side of the restaurant. It was very small, which we were not a fan of. Had we ordered more food, it would not have all fit. A larger party came in around 7:30 and took up most of the seats at the bar, to which they didn't seem to mind. The layout was interesting, being split into sushi bar and restaurant sides. The space was intimate, but cramped at times. The wait staff seemed to manage well between the customers and each other. Price wise, I don't think it was too bad, considering it's downtown. We did order the $9.99 pick two, so our options were a bit limited. What we did order was not bad and we enjoyed it. The "basic" rolls ranged from the $4.95 range up to about $7. The specialty rolls seemed to average around $9. The katsu was about $5 for 1 piece of breast. Overall, I think that we would go back if we were downtown and in the mood for sushi. The Pick Two option was a good option for us, which is similar to what they do at OEC by Tyrone. The ingredients were very fresh and the service was not bad.

Menu could be a bit bigger but food was good, service good and they even had gluten free soy sauce

If I could put six stars I would. I'm not from the area and we stumbled upon this by accident. Brandon is the bomb-digity! I never imagined having such a wonderful experience in Florida.... Ever

Good sushi, poor service. It took a long 10 minutes for our waitress to notice our table had not been helped, then they were out of a lot of beers at the beginning, THEN they were out of the ones we ordered AFTER she initially informed us of their outages, then another waitress spilled ginger dressing all over me (in my eye, hair, & white top). She simply apologized, & brought me a rag. They could have at least given me a slight discount, or sent the manager over to apologize. Again, sushi was good; all the waitresses were simply careless.

A group of us hit this on an early Friday night (with reservations). At first, the lack luster attention made me think we were in for a long, slow night- but things picked up after our first round of drinks. Sushi came out pretty quickly and was very good. A few of the non-sushi items were a bit average, but that's just a nit and not why we were there. Added bonus: for a big group of us, with booze, I thought the bill was pretty reasonable.

Clean place with a friendly staff. We went on a late Saturday afternoon before the big dinner rush. Service was good. The prices weren't unreasonable. With any sushi restaurant you're going to spend some money. But this place was fair. There's a wide selection of cooked and raw food items. The sushi was very good. Try the Kat roll. It's delicious!

  • Natalie M.

I went here for my birthday and haven't been back since. The sushi was OK (nothing special), but the service was not. Our server came to take our order and then the next time we saw him was to give us our check. (Someone else delivered our sushi.) He never checked on us again, and my drink was empty for pretty much 75% of our meal. With all of the other sushi options in the St. Pete area, I don't really plan on giving this place a second try. Some of the other reviews on here are good, but for me, I felt the service was sub-par and the sushi selection was kind of lackluster.

If your looking for some happy hour deals on Thursday come here! Most of the sushi rolls were all $2 off, $2 off appetizers and really good beer, wine, and liquor drink specials ranging $2-$5! We ordered the spicy edamame and were presently surprised that it was actually very spicy. We enjoy spicy food, this had really great flavor to it but couldn't finish it because we wanted to save room for our meal. The sushi was amazing! It was so delicious and we really enjoyed what they had to offer for specials. It was busy on Thursday and was nice and clean. The service was great and look forward to come back here!

Very nice restaurant with a very 'up to date' feel of the decor. Edemame, sushi, sashimi, and the fried ice cream was great! The restaurant is part of a hip area of town with many young adults around. Food came quickly after ordering and price was average for sushi.

Hands down the best sushi spot in town! My fiancé and I drive 45 minutes once a week to get our sushi fix! We normally get the tuna nachos and it's like the best appetizer ever! It's 4 stacks of tuna on top of 4 big wonton! Yummy!! And Their sushi rolls are very creative and always hits the spot! Delicious Everyone is friendly, the service is fast. Perfect for lunch time! Our bartender we usually go to , Spence, is very generous and friendly. Fun guy to talk to Overall, this is the perfect date night! Good drinks, good vibe, high quality food! What else can you ask for

Thanks to Diana for taking such good care of me while waiting for my wife to get into town and pick me up. The Donut Roll is fantastic if you like a little creamy crush with your sushi and the Tuna Nacho's are a definite hit. Will be back.

We ordered take out because we wanted to go sit on the beach (which is only a few blocks away). The girl on the phone was very friendly, and I really appreciate her suggestion to make it a "pick two" special- she ended up saving us a few bucks on our rolls and we got two salads essentially for free! The sushi itself was good, nothing to rave about, but the crab rangoons were clearly store bought which makes me sad at a place like this. They were soft and weird tasting. I haven't experienced enough sushi in this area to know how they compare, but I do know that because of the price and prompt service, they deserve at least a 3.5

My husband and I like to go here and eat outside, great location and decent prices. We LOVE the beef dumplings and volcano sushi. Their staff is very pleasant and welcoming.

Sushi Inc. definitely impressed with its great service, cool yet simple ambiance, and extremely fresh, flavorful rolls. On top of all this, it's reasonably priced, especially considering the excellent quality. I had the ginger salad to start, which was actually made with fresh lettuce and one of the better ginger dressings I've had. After my salad, I had the Kat Roll. This was my personal favorite because I love avocado and eel sauce. I tried some of the K-Town, a roll wrapped in rice paper with a ton of fresh fish, but it's just not my preference of roll. Overall, I was really pleased with Sushi Inc and will definitely be back. Glad to have another sushi spot in the area!

THIS PLACE IS RUN BY THE SAME PEOPLE AS TAMPA'S SOHO SUSHI? I find that impossible to believe. This place is CRAP. What is it about Pinellas County that causes restaurant chefs to suddenly not know what to do in the kitchen? I have never in my life been served the CRAP food at Soho Sushi in South Tampa that I was served today at Sushi Inc. My rolls from Sushi Inc contained: BROWN avocado Old, cold, greasy and hard tempura shrimp Rolls that were coming apart/not rolled properly If you want decent sushi, stick to Hillsborough County.

A new sushi restaurant in sushi-congested Downtown St. Pete? Will Sushi, Inc make like a boss and run this 'bizness'? THE FOOD DEPARTMENT There's many Asian Fusion dishes such as BBQ-ed meats, tofu stirs, and Asian-themed cocktails... but I came here for sushi! (It's in the name!) I began by sipping simple, hot green tea (I didn't get that impression it came from a small bag) and miso soup (soft flavor, lots of soft tofu and greens). The sushi was great! They didn't try to destroy my Crunchy Spicy Tuna or Inc Roll (salmon and tuna with tempura) by drowning the protein in unnecessary crap. It was simple. Beautiful even. The fish was bold and the rice was humble. AIR OF AUTHORITY I'm not a big fan of the layout--a kitchen plopped at the center divides the dining room on the left and the bar area on the right (although you can order both from both) but I understand that's how they bought the place already. It seemed a bit dark inside. Somehow (IDK how) I'd like to see this place more welcoming and open to the outdoors. Outdoor seating? Un-tint the windows? I don't think this place wants to be a snooty, dark, secretive sushi destination. WHAT'S THE VALUE? The lunch special of two rolls (from a selection of 12) and a soup or salad for $9.99 is sure to grab the office crowd. My server was friendly and arrived at all the right moments. Even though this place has only been open less than a week, you can tell the management are veterans in the business because everything ran very smooth. Sushi Inc already feels like a DTSP staple to me.

I wanted to check this place out because they have REAL ramen---not that cup-o-noodles, or Top Ramen BS, but honest-to-goodness ramen with the naruto maki (fish cake), bbq pork, veggies---the whole sh'bang! The only other place I know where I can get this is I Ai Sushi in Tampa, so I was glad to have access to real ramen in St. Pete! So the verdict---kind of overpriced and not as great as the stuff in Tampa. (Sorry guys!) Plus, someone needs to learn better knife skills because everything was cut into large chunks, even the fish cake, which is usually served sliced because of its texture. Can I have a knife to cut things up before I dig in? Boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki, which looked kind of plain---similar to something I'd whip up at home if I was making a quick meal. I guess we were just expecting something more special from this place. The atmosphere is pretty bleak---and not in a cool modern way like Rollbotto either. Everything is painted dark and the furniture looks like it came from a closed Bennigan's or something. In fact--if it weren't for a bottle of soy sauce on every table, you wouldn't think you were in a Japanese restaurant at all. It looks more like a downtown dive bar, really. So don't take anyone here that you are looking to impress... I think if they revamped their business model, they could be a success. There are already so many sushi bars in downtown St. Pete that do things better, and have the atmosphere and flair that go with it. But there are very few places that you can get homestyle Japanese food in Tampa bay--which is why I will drive 30-40 minutes out of my way to get it in Tampa. I think if they improved their ramen, added sukiyaki, okonomiyaki, shabu-shabu, onigiri, and focused less on sushi, they may be on to something... and geeze, lighten up the atmosphere! They're new (they took over what used to be Ratchada), so I'll give them another chance, and hopefully my update will have a few more stars. I want soooo bad to find a great Ramen place in downtown St. Pete.

There are three reasons to visit Sushi Inc.- Happy Hour + Seoul Wings + Discounted Sushi. Happy Hour includes some surprisingly creative concoctions made with branded flavored alcohol, $3 Sapporo on draught, specials on rolls, and $5 drinks any way you want them. I tried the Melon Punch, which was refreshing, but did not deter me from going to the crazy-good mixology bar next door for my second drink. There are 4-6 specialty rolls discounted during Happy Hour, I ordered two of them. Rolls were more filling than they looked, and I should have ordered just one. Many satisfying experiences happen in life, one of those is being presented with a massive platter of colorful rolls. For us, this platter was about $70, but the cost still did not remove any pleasure from the experience. Let's have a chat about Seoul Wings--- some jumbo crispy wings, covered in sweet, spicy, tangy, sticky gochugaru blended sauce. The flavor immediately brought me back to time spent in Hongdae, where I should have had more of this chicken with beer experience.

Amazing!!! They have the best Happy Hour (lots of great rolls for $4 and $3). On this Friday, they had $2 shock top pints. We sat at the sushi bar-check out the chef filet-ing a fresh catch to use on on rolls right in front of us!! The $3 Kirans during HH were great too!!

Great happy hour specials and fantastic specialty rolls. Waitstaff & sushi chefs were all very cool and friendly.

Get the Volcano Roll! They have happy hour from 5-7 every day (or at least I'm assuming every day, since we were there on a Sunday). That means there is a choice of 3 specialty rolls that are $3-$4 off and select drinks (like cupcake wines). I usually like having a wider selection for happy hour, but all three rolls look good. I decided to trust my fellow yelpers and go with the Volcano Roll, which is why I didn't get a happy hour roll. I was not disappointed. This roll was enough to fill me up! It had a heaping mound of crab and baked salmon on top. My friend got the Florida, which was very good also. These rolls are a little on the pricey side, but you can fill up on one. We also got the edamame. It wasn't anything special, but again a little on the pricey side. I think that is the theme of this restaurant. Everything was good, but a little pricey. I would definitely try to come at happy hour. I think it is a great spot to grab sushi, but I wouldn't make this an everyday restaurant.

Went here early (6-ish) on an Thursday night with the family (2 kids). This place doesn't have a friendly family vibe, but they took care of us nonetheless. We were probably 1 of 5 tables filled. The placed had the look and feel of a college restaurant that turns into a party venue late at night. That said, the rolls we had were VERY good. The corona and Kat rolls are highly recommended. I would come back just to try those again. I'm guessing this place is a great late, night weekend venue but if you're just looking for great sushi in St. Pete, this is a gem.

Place was a bright star on a rainy muggy Friday night. I was craving sushi so dragged a couple of friends of mine to this place because I wanted to try it. We sat at the bar and greeted right away. I ordered a cocktail which was my mistake because it was too sweet and not the kind you should be ordering at a sushi restaurant (moscow mule). No big deal. The menu is simple so your not having to decipher what is going on. I stuck with the basics. The fish was of decent quality and sliced well. The big thing about sushi in my opinion is the rice. It needs to individual rice pieces and not a congealed mass of starch. In addition, it should have a slight hint of vinegar. The roll I ordered had just the right amount of rice and not a big thick ring around the fish. The Nigiri was perfect with the rice complimenting the main ingredient which is the fish and not the other way around. Everything was fresh and delicious leaving me feeling content and happy knowing I ate a healthy meal. Good job Sushi Inc.!

I've tried sushi inc a few times and first chalked it up to them opening up a new location and having some kinks to work out, but the prices just don't match the quality. The fish has not been as fresh as the fish at Soho Sushi, which confused me because they're the same owners? It's mediocre, but you can get cheaper sushi for better quality across the bridge at Samurai Blue. Unfortunately, I haven't been impressed at Sushi Inc and won't be returning. :/

Sushi Inc. is incredible, comparable to some of the top Sushi spots in Chicago. Excellent selection of appetizers, with a wonderful array of sushi options. The Donut roll is a must. If you're still hungry after getting through your rolls, the dessert is amazing, too. Nice atmosphere, will definitely go again. And they've got cocktails too!

This is, by far, the best quality sushi we've found in st petersburg. We've been dining at sushi inc for about two months now, almost weekly. Since moving to st pete, we've been on the hunt to find outstanding sushi. Our description of outstanding sushi is: well cut fish that tastes amazing and can stand on its own as sashimi. We're not people who cover everything in sauce. Sushi inc has been more than willing to make accommodations for us, customizing rolls to remove all the sauces and change the components. The fish is tender and well cut for their nigiri and sashimi servings and tastes very good. Service is also outstanding. We have come to especially adore both Melanie and Spencer who work in the lounge. They are friendly, competent and engaging. My only wish is that sushi inc would get a little more adventurous with some of their standard fish offerings.. I'd love to see itoyori dai or some wasabi tobiko nigiri on the menu. We'll keep working on them.

I have been twice, both within a week of each other, and the food is great! I would give 5/5 for food and 5/5 for ambiance. The only reason I took off one star is for service, as it seems it can be a bit of a hit or miss. The first time I came, the waiter forgot quite a few things and charged me for a spicy mayo he never brought. The 2nd time the waiter just seemed like he was new, but he was great aside from not being too familiar with the menu. . They also have happy hour specials, with discounted sushi rolls and cocktails. I recommend the Lobster Fresh roll and the 1st Avenue roll, and the Bourbon on the Ave drink. All very tasty! The Lobster Fresh really lives up to its name, as it just tastes super fresh and crisp. All in all, I am a fan of this place and will definitely be returning. It's a bit of a drive for us considering we have a usual sushi place we go to near where we live, but it is worth it for evenings where you want to go downtown.

Big disappointment here. The glowing reviews got me here. The mediocre sushi will keep me from returning. There are probably literally dozens of places to get better sushi. I had a spider roll, which was dry, room temperature and flavorless, a love roll which was also bland, a Florida roll which did not seem very fresh and some misago with quail egg, which was standard and OK. The miso soup for starters was watery with microscopic pieces of tofu. The service was good and the only bright spot here. Prices were high and quality was low. Sushi Inc needs a complete makeover of its offerings. BTW, the parking arrangements are terrible. I had to park a few blocks away and hoof it there. Definitely not worth the trouble.

'Pick 2' rolls with salad or miso soup lunch for $10 = great deal! Ordered the California and Inc. Roll - both were very good. Nice atmosphere and server was very friendly and did a great job. Will definitely be back!

Came on a Saturday for lunch with less than half of the restaurant full. Ordered edamame that never came -cancelled after our entrees arrived. Service took over 30 minutes and when the teriyaki wrapped asparagus came it was luke-warm yet over cooked. I suspect it was prepared and then sitting in the kitchen. The rest of our order consisted of 1 roll and nigiri salmon- That's it. We will not be returning. There are too many great options in this area to settle by eating here.

I had been to the old Thai restaurant that used to occupy the space that Sushi Inc now resides in, but I had not actually been since Sushi Inc took over. Craving sushi, it was time to give it a try. They offer a variety of sushi rolls, as well as some higher-priced specialty rolls. The Volcano roll was probably my favorite, although the Florida was also amazing. The specialty rolls are a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny. The regular sushi rolls are very reasonably priced, but I have yet to try those. I guess I'll just have to go back!

Visited for dinner mid week. The sushi was decent and would get it again maybe to go. Server clearly wasn't really into working much as it was later in the night. But word to the wise, please don't waste your time on their 'ramen". I was excited to see they had it on their menu but wow, what a disappointment. Seriously it was generic soup from any chinese delivery joint anywhere. Broth is no depth which just made everything else in the soup boring. I asked the server if she had ever had it and she said no, but that people seem to like it. I think those people have never actually had proper ramen beyond the dried soup packets, which are still better than the ramen they served here.

I finally made it to see what the new sushi joint had to offer. I liked the old place, so I was skeptical. However, I was very, very pleased. Firstly, they have 3 Daughters Oatmeal Stout on tap, so that was my first sign that it was going to be a great night. On Thursdays, they have other drinks special such as 2 for 1 Kirins that I may check out next time. I was in the bar area for a birthday party, so there were A LOT of us. As such, it took an eternity to ever get any food ordered. It was bad enough that I wavered between a 4 and 5 star rating, but when we finally did get food, I was calmed right down. I had my two favorite rolls- a spider roll and a sweet potato roll. I also tasted two other crazy rolls my friends ordered. All of it was amazing. Absolutely made to perfection. I will most definitely be back.

My cousin who lives in Tampa brought us here while we were visiting reletives. We sat at the bar and the owner and the other sushi chefs treated us like family. We ordered the sushi nachos, which were one of the specials for the day, and they were heavenly! We also got a bunch of their rolls, which were also very fresh and delicious. Being from DC/ Northern VA, my sister and I grew up going to numerous Korean and Japanese sushi restaurants as well as ones in Korea, and we were still impressed by the food quality, taste, and presentation. We also ordered flaming martinis, Girl Scout Cookies, and Cinnamon Toast Crunches from the bar. The bar tender was a great mixologist so we let him use his creativity from then on and he did not disappoint! We can't wait to go to Sushi Inc. the next time we visit!

The sushi here is awesome. The sushi rice has a great flavor and is always the perfect temperature. The chefs there are very skilled and creative. If you are adventurous I would recommend omakase. They have good happy hour prices on drinks and apps. If you like calamari I highly recommend the geso it is cooked to perfection. The staff is very friendly. Oh and on a cold day get some of there ramen...delish!

Nice spot, fresh fish and central to a good time in downtown. Sushi was super fresh and cut right. Great location to jump off for a night of drinking. Parking can be a challenge, but that is expected. No problems here. I would return and most likely will. 4 stars!

I was excited to find out that this place is owned by the SOHO Sushi people. Even as a non-sushi eater, I am a huge fan of SOHO Sushi because they make the best fried rice I've ever had. Sushi Inc. has the same menu and the food looked and tasted just as good as its Tampa sister. Now I can get my fried rice on either side of the bridge!

After finding parking 3 blocks away, I made my way using Yelp to the restaurant. Upon entering it was easy to navigate and we sat to where we could see the street. The server was very attentive and kept my water glass full. The food itself wasn't anything spectacular. The fried rice I had came without the egg as requested, so kudos to that. It was interesting because the rice came with bean sprouts which was a nice combo. I also had the spring rolls, which I then used the spicy chili sauce on my fried rice to give it additional flavor. I wasn't wowed, but it was nice to have some time to sit and enjoy. The Pinot Grigio was satisfactory and did pair decently with the fried rice too. The best part was the service. :)

I thought the sushi was really good here. I got two specialty rolls. My friends all talked up the Volcano roll, which has imitation crab. I was skeptical at first, but it did not disappoint. The other roll was The Ring of Fire roll, which was also delicious. We sat at a high top in the bar, and the staff was attentive. Also, they had some nice beer specials. They have some interesting non sushi items that I am looking forward to trying, such as ramen bowls and udon noodles. I know that ramen places are big in larger cities, and have wanted to try some. I am pretty sure it isn't the college staple ramen.

Cheap sushi with even cheaper drinks during happy hour. I trust the freshness of the fish also, which is always so dicey when you go to a cheap establishment. It's just a great cheap happy hour!

Went to lunch at SOHO Sushi in Tampa this afternoon, went home to St Pete and had to run a few errands downtown when I passed Sushi Inc which I knew were owned by the Soho Sushi guys so I had to stop in. The inside is nice, trying to make it look like the Tampa one but not even close, same funky type of music and generally the atmosphere is pleasant. Their menu is almost identical to the Tampa joint with some local rolls on the menu. The food was very good, as good as the Tampa location, which is one of my favorites in the Tampa Bay area. Now I can have really good sushi close to where I live as well as close to work. I've tried most of the sushi place in Pinellas and this one is the best I've had so far. I don't like the cream cheese nonsense that a lot of FL people like, I've lived in L.A. and NYC so I know good sushi. This is good sushi.

Absolutely loved this place! We arrived around 630pm...it was very empty inside. Promptly greeted by our server. We ordered an appetizer of Gyoza and 3 rolls and Tuna Sashimi. Loved how fresh the sushi was and wasn't overloaded with sauces. Rolls were relatively large but not too large. Prices weren't too bad either. Glad to find another sushi joint in DTSP.

Finally! A decent sushi joint in downtown st Pete! My search is finally over! Sushi inc has been open just a week but they are definitely giving all the other sushi or should I say "fusion/thai" restaurants in the area a run for their money. Not only is the fish the freshest I've had but the service has exceeded my expectations (for it only being open a week). The servers are super friendly and checked up on me at all the right moments. The Sushi chefs are very hospitable and accommodating. I will def be coming back!

I would give it 4 stars because the sushi was pretty good and reasonably priced if you get the cheaper rolls, but I didn't care for the servers attitude. The dining room was full yes, but he took 7 minutes to even acknowledge us. The hostess brought over the sauce dishes and they were dirty. I asked the server politely to exchange the dishes out and pointed out the obvious grit in the bowls. All he did was shrug his shoulders and say okay. No apology or anything. Not sure if I would go back, honestly.

The Salmon Lemon Zest Roll is great, and so were the other special rolls I tried. The fish seemed fresh, the wine selection wasn't bad and the location is a great place to go on a date before bar hopping downtown. I would go back here without a doubt.

We came to Tampa on vacation and yelped this sushi restaurant. To tell you the truth, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The sushi was fresh but didn't have that "umph" that I had hoped for. We also got the combination fried rice. That was on point and the leftovers was still yummy the next day! The service was pretty good and our server was really friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and definitely had a "date" feel to it. I give 3 stars because though the service and restaurant was nice, I heavily rated the sushi.

I have always walked by this place when I head out downtown but this the first time I have tried it. I have been searching for good sushi for a long time now and this place is excellent. The staff were all very nice and the service was great. We tried volcano roll, kat roll and spyder roll. They were all awesome and the spicy edamame was just the right spice to feel it, not overwhelm it. I highly suggest this be your sushi spot!

When I first heard that this soho sushi spin-off was opening in DTSP, I was beyond thrilled. Decided to try it a couple wks after it had opened, so went in after work on a week day. The place was dead, with about 8 servers huddled around the hostess stand when we walked in. We assumed they hadn't advertised being open much yet, and also noticed that the sign outside wasn't up yet. Ordered a beer so I could catch the end of HH and started looking over the sushi menu. Wow-what a variety! Ordered the tuna tartar which is my favorite at the tampa rest, and it was very fresh. Decided on the corona roll (so nice, esp with the thinly sliced lime!) da burg roll (OMG yum!) and another fresh roll which I can't remember the name of, but it had rice paper, greens and tuna -which I thought would be a nice light choice, for a lunch. Overall friendly service and with a large selection of sushi rolls. Since our visit, I've received several weekly emails from sushinc highlighting their specials...we plan on going back for their "Black Saturday", cause we are still full from the turkey!!

Just got back from a work trip last night and had to get my sushi fix from Sushi Inc on the way home. It reminded me how good they are; just as good if not better than the sushi places in big cities around the world I have tried. This has been my go to sushi in st Pete since they opened. The fish is super fresh, good rice flavor and texture, and there is a great range of different rolls to try. I am not a fan of eel or crab and there are a ton of great options: the Inc roll, the corona, candy cane, and salmon zest if you want super light and fresh are some of my favorites. And the prices are very reasonable My only wish would be a bit more variety on the wine list. Otherwise two thumbs up!

Decided to try out this place, seeing how all of our friends have been "checking-in" a lot on Facebook. We had no idea the restaurant closed after lunch at 2pm and re-open back up around dinner. The waitress had mention to put in our sushi order before the kitchen closes, which we completely understand not knowing prior that they had closed. As we were deciding what to order, we had request to get the scallops. The waitress told us that it will take 20-25 minutes to make, but we can still order it, making us felt more uncomfortable so we did not place that order. Instead we ordered sushi and noodle soup. The ginger salad had a weird taste to it. The sushi was alright. After, our noodle soup came out, we were not impressed. It felt like the noodles were not properly cooked, because it was still crunchy. So let's just say, we tried it out and will not try it out again. Oh not to mention, after I got home, I got sick. Yup pretty sure it was bad fish.

OK I have been here twice and I have to say I have been very pleased with both the food and the service. Stephanie has waited on me both times....the first time with a friend and tonight by myself. Charming and delightful and very outgoing when needed to be and very officious when required. The first visit (2 weeks ago) she pointed out the happy hour special rolls and drinks. She also let us know that the happy hour rolls change regularly and pointed out the most popular (letting us know that they would most likely not be on the new menu and to try them while they were available) They were magnificent. My friend (my regular sushi co-hort) thought they were wonderful as well. Tonight I had to be downtown and thought I would stop in for a quick bite and have the rolls again (hoping they hadn't changed the happy hour menu as yet). Well initially disappointed, they did have a NEW happy hour menu and as i read the descriptions I was intrigued and my mouth started watering. OK this may be just fine, breathe.......LOL! "Oceans on Fire" was the roll that jumped off the page...I modified it, as jalapenos do not agree with me, but the amending was promised and delivered quickly and FRESH!...while it may have ended up being different than the creator had intended it was SMOKIN to me....total perfection and freshness. I ordered a large sake ($4) a Ginger salad (the BEST around) and an order of Crab Rangoon.....OK this is where the meal took an unexpected turn.......to FABULOUS! THE very BEST Crab Rangoon I have ever had, and I have eaten it in almost every major city in all of the best restaurants in the country.......Loaded with crab and light on the cream cheese with minced scallions and then wrapped in a very thin wonton skin (think potsticker) then deep fried to lightly crispy...NOT like the hard crunchy skins at most places that can almost cut your mouth, this was done with a light and loving hand....SHEER perfection.....the crab was delicate and flavorful, just the right amount of cream cheese (less cheese than crab) and the sweetness of the scallions took it to a new level....... .I may go back and just order 3 portions of Crab Rangoon....it should be an entree LOVED! I even inquired about purchasing them in bulk, uncooked and pretending that I cooked them myself for a dinner party!

We have been fans of Soho Sushi for quite a while, and finally discovered Sushi Inc which is so much closer to our home, and just as good! We loved it that we were able to sit outdoors and enjoy the downtown scene. We ordered the Salmon Zest, Vegetable roll, and one of the chef's special rolls. They were all fantastic. We also enjoyed the excellent and friendly service of bartender-turned-waiter, Spencer. Five stars!

Service so bad the sushi never had a chance. I went there for the grand opening and was so disappointed with the service that I left after one drink. I get it, who goes into a sushi place and ask if they have Corona light? This guy, me, I do and it's what I like. The bartender turns to what I would guess to be the bar manager (a miserable woman) and asked her. She looked at me like I was from another planet, rolled her eyes and in the snottiest tone said "huh? We don't sell that here." Not sure who is holding a gun to her head to come to work but seriously doubt I will return anytime soon.

Let's start with the good. Our waitress Stephanie is the BOMB! Great smile good service! I had the $10 well drink, was the deal of Friday December 6th, 2013. Pet peeve here, if you add shrimp tempura on your rolls please fry it fresh so it would be crunchy. We had the special rolls the red Devil, red dragon, cat roll, and giso. Don't call them special if not so special these red devil and red dragon. I know most American can't tell a good roll if the world was coming to an end? But fresh preparedness is key! Don't serve cook one day old shrimp tempura! We spent a lot money here and a bit disappointed but I am sure they will get better. I will return to try again..and I hope they get it right Other that that the yakitori tasted as if I was in Japan, the giso was different I've had! If had wished there was a 3.5 star cause it is what it is..

Very nice restaurant with a very 'up to date' feel of the decor. Edemame, sushi, sashimi, and the fried ice cream was great! The restaurant is part of a hip area of town with many young adults around. Food came quickly after ordering and price was average for sushi.

Sushi Inc. definitely impressed with its great service, cool yet simple ambiance, and extremely fresh, flavorful rolls.

Pete.

Sushi is Amazing! Fish is fresh! They have deliveries almost every day. They have completely renovated the restaurant. Looks great! A must visit if you are in the mood for sushi! Closed on Mondays.
